TAKASHIMA A MONO GP
今年で８回目を迎える滋賀県高島市の「ええもの」を集めたコンテスト「高島ええものグランプリ」のリニューアルブランディングに関わりました。 受賞者は「センスがええ」ということで、トロフィー代わりに高島扇子が贈呈されました。 最高金賞に選ばれたのは、とも栄さんの「ふなずしxベイクド羊羹」の”ふなチー”です。 滋賀の人って、本当に鮒寿司を美味しくすることに執念を燃やしています！これが鮒寿司なの？っていうくらい美味しいもの沢山あります。これも、チーズ不使用なのに濃厚チーズケーキそのもので、審査員絶賛でした。 他にも金賞の発酵ドルチェ米シュワグルトも鮒寿司を作る際の飯から作られたヨーグルトです。 その他の金賞には、和ろうそくの大與さんは有名ですが、高島発アウトドアブランドの業界最小クラスの焚火台や、琵琶湖の宝石と呼ばれるビワマスひつまぶし、メタセコイアのブラウニーケーキなど、ユニークな商品が揃いました。 審査委員長も近年稀に見るハイレベルとおっしゃっていました。 We were involved in the renewal branding of the contest that featured "ehimono" (good things) from Takashima City, Shiga Prefecture, which is now in its 8th year. In lieu of a trophy, a Takashima fan was presented to the winners for their "good taste. The top gold medal went to Tomoei's "Funachie" (Funazushi x Baked Yokan). 近江牛専門店万葉のパッケージデザインを担当しました。
近江牛は日本三大和牛の一つ。日本でも最高の品質の牛肉です。
万葉というお店の名前から万葉集を思いました。
万葉集は、7世紀後半から8世紀後半にかけて編纂された、現存するわが国最古の歌集です。
精肉会社が経営する専門店であり、お肉作りの思いをお客さんに伝えてゆくのに「本」の形が思い浮かび万葉集とつながりました。
和綴と呼ばれる日本の伝統的なの本の綴じ方を模したパッケージに包まれたお肉。本を開ける高揚感と高級感のあるパッケージになっています。
紙にはエンボスの加工で布製本のような表現としました。ゴムとメタルシールでパッケージを封印しています。
最高級のお肉にふさわしいデザインとしました。
We were in charge of package design for the Omi beef specialty restaurant Manyo.
Omi beef is one of Japan's three major beef varieties. It is the highest quality beef in Japan.
The name of the restaurant, Manyo, made me think of the Manyoshu (The Anthology of Myriad Leaves).
The Manyoshu is the oldest existing collection of poetry in Japan, compiled from the late 7th to the late 8th century. As a specialty store run by a meat company, the shape of a "book" came to mind for conveying the concept of meat production to customers, which led me to Manyoshu.
The meat is wrapped in a package that resembles the traditional Japanese book binding method called Watoji.The package has an exuberant and luxurious feel of opening a book. The paper is embossed to give it the appearance of a cloth-bound book. The package is sealed with rubber and metal seals. The design was appropriate for top quality meat.
The package is designed to be opened with a sense of exhilaration and luxury.

KAITSUBURI
滋賀県の県鳥「カイツブリ」のペーパーウェイトです。彦根市のバルブ産業のメーカーで鉛フリー合金の銅ビワライトを用いて制作しました。使うほどにエイジングして味わい深い表情になります。
This is a paperweight of "Kaituburi", the prefectural bird of Shiga Prefecture. It was produced by a manufacturer of valve industry in Hikone City using copper biwaite, a lead-free alloy. The more you use it, the more it will age and take on a tasteful look.

KUROBUTA
段ボール箱のベロを差し込む部分を豚の鼻に見立てて、黒豚を立体的にパッケージ全体に描くデザインとしました。
既存のロゴに使われている豚の鼻、目、放射状の装飾をパッケージにあしらうことで、ロゴとパッケージがつながる統一的ブランディングとしています。お尻の側に社名と、尻尾を描いています。箱を開けるときに鼻を引き出すと「THNAK YOU」の文字が見えるようにしています。
お店にパッケージが並んでいる際も、豚がたくさん並んでいるように見え、可愛く、遠目にも目を引くデザインとなっています。
もらったあとも取っておきたいパッケージということで、極力商品名や社名は前面に出さないことを意図しており、段ボール製の収納用品として販売していそうなものを目指し、シンプルで抽象的なデザインとしています。それゆえ、ギフトボックス以外の、壁面デザインやのぼりなど、様々な媒体に展開しやすいものになっています。
段ボールのクラフトの地色を活かしたナチュラル感のあるデザインにしており、素材の良さを感じさせるものです。
The design depicts a black pig three-dimensionally on the entire package, using the part of the cardboard box where the tongue is inserted as a pig's nose.
The pig's nose, eyes, and radial decorations used in the existing logo are used on the package to create a unified branding that connects the logo and the package. The company name and tail are drawn on the butt side. When the box is opened, the nose is pulled out to reveal the words "THNAK YOU.
When the package is lined up in a store, it looks like a bunch of pigs, which is cute and eye-catching from a distance.
The design is simple and abstract, aiming for something that would be sold as a cardboard storage product. Therefore, the design can be easily applied to a variety of media other than gift boxes, such as wall designs and banners.
The design has a natural feel, taking advantage of the ground color of the corrugated kraft, and gives a sense of the quality of the material.

SHIGA CHAIR
滋賀県のナラ枯材を使った椅子を作る滋賀チェアプロジェクトのブランディングと椅子のデザインを担当しました。製造技術が非常に高い飛騨産業とのコラボレーションによって生まれたアームチェアです。滋賀を代表する椅子になってほしいと思いを込めてSHIGA CHAIRと名付けました。I was in charge of branding and chair design for the Shiga Chair Project, a project to create chairs using oak withers from Shiga Prefecture. This armchair was created in collaboration with Hida Sangyo, a company with very high manufacturing technology. We named it SHIGA CHAIR with the hope that it will become a chair representing Shiga.

AYU PORRIDGE
あゆ雑炊のパッケージデザインです。あゆのひらきを使い、レンジアップご飯で手間要らずで簡単に雑炊が作れるように開発されました。鉄鍋に木の蓋をデザインモチーフとし、レトルトご飯と、だし汁を隙間なくホールド可能なパッケージに逆台形型の箱としました。一枚のシートから立体になるデザインです。青い紙に金印刷でローコストに制作しました。
This is the package design of Ayu Porridge. It was developed to make Zosui (rice porridge) easily and hassle-free with microwaved rice using Ayu flounder. The design motif is an iron pot with a wooden lid, and the package is an inverted trapezoid-shaped box that can hold retort rice and the broth without gaps. The design is three-dimensional from a single sheet. Gold printing on blue paper was used for low-cost production.

KOKA Cardboard Box
滋賀県甲賀市の段ボールのデザインです。甲賀市の市章の２色を使用し、忍者テーマで手裏剣のモノグラムを配置し、市章デザインもあしらっています。ふるさと納税返礼品を送るのに使用されたりしています。This is a cardboard design for Koka City, Shiga Prefecture. It uses the two colors of the Koka city emblem, and has a ninja theme with a shuriken monogram and the city emblem design. It is sometimes used to send tax returns from hometowns.
