日本は、安価な輸入材に頼ってきたので、日本中に植えられた杉の森は放置され、林業の衰退と森の荒廃が進んでいます。 日本の杉を使う事で、日本の森は元気になります。 これは、そのような杉材を用いた家具デザインの提案です。 杉の柔らかく、あたたかな質感をソファの背もたれに活かしました。 デザイン的にも暖かみのある木の質感を引き出すため、ぽってりした黒いカタマリとコントラストを活かしたデザインとしました。   杉の活用ということで、杉ばかりで家具を作る事を考えてしましますが、ここでは、杉を象徴的に用いています。 黒く重たいものに対して、軽やかな杉を対比させて見せています。 ふわっと柔らかい造形とすることで、シャープな黒とのコントラストを強調しています。 人の手の触れる部分に杉を積極的に用い、温かみある杉を触ってもらいたいと意図しました。

KUJYAKUは折りたためるパーティションです。孔雀のように羽を広げて展開することができます。柄は菊と松があります。驚きのあるプロダクトです。KUJYAKU is a foldable partition. It can be unfolded by spreading its wings like a peacock. The patterns are chrysanthemum and pine. It is a surprising product.

傘立てのデザインです。一見、傘立てには見えませんが、全ての傘の先端が合うように円と円の隙間を調整しています。どこにはまるのか、最初は悩みますが、慣れるとすぐにわかります。自分で使いこなす美しいプロダクトです。This is the design of an umbrella stand. At first glance, it does not look like an umbrella stand, but the gap between the circles is adjusted so that the tips of all umbrellas fit together. At first you may have trouble figuring out where it fits, but once you get used to it, you will soon find out. It is a beautiful product that you can use yourself.

山中漆器の拭き漆の器です。黒と赤があります。 シンプルでオーソドックスなデザインを心がけてデザインしました。とても軽く、使いやすく、あまり緊張しすぎない、しかしそこまでカジュアルでもない。ふつうな上質さを目指したデザインです。非常に軽く出来ています。山中塗とは、石川県加賀市の山中温泉地区で作られる漆器で、山中漆器と呼ばれます。国産のミズメ桜を轆轤挽きで仕上げ、拭き漆技法で仕上げました。Yamanaka Lacquerware wipe lacquer vessels. Available in black and red.We designed it with a simple and orthodox design in mind. It is very light, easy to use, not too strained, but not that casual either. It is a design that aims for ordinary quality. It is very light. Yamanaka-nuri is a type of lacquerware produced in the Yamanaka Onsen area of Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture, and is called Yamanaka lacquerware. Domestically produced mizume-zakura cherry wood is wheel-thrown and finished with a wiping lacquer technique.

シンプルでオーソドックスなデザインを心がけてデザインしました。 とても軽く、使いやすく、あまり緊張しすぎない、しかしそこまでカジュアルでもない。 runoの丸く柔らかいデザインと対照的に、tachiは、凛とした佇まいを持ったデザインです。（写真の後半はrunoとの比較です） 非常に軽く出来ています。 斜め上からはあまり裏側が見えませんが、裏側の削り込みにより手がすっと入り、大変持ちやすくデザインされています。 山中塗とは、石川県加賀市の山中温泉地区で作られる漆器で、山中漆器と呼ばれます。国産のミズメ桜を轆轤挽きで仕上げ、拭き漆技法で仕上げました。 We designed this product with a simple and orthodox design in mind. It is very light, easy to use, not too strained, but not that casual either. In contrast to the round and soft design of runo, tachi has a dignified appearance. (The second half of the photo is a comparison with runo.) It is made very light. Although you cannot see the back side of the bowl from an angle, the back side has been cut down so that you can easily put your hand into the bowl, making it very easy to hold. Yamanaka-nuri is a type of lacquerware produced in the Yamanaka Onsen area of Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture, and is called Yamanaka lacquerware. The potter's wheel is made of domestically produced mizume-zakura (cherry tree) and finished with the wipe lacquer technique.

シンプルなスツールです。座面はヌメ革、足はホワイトアッシュ材のソープ仕上げ。使うほどに愛着が湧いてきそうな飽きのこないデザインです。This is a simple stool. The seat is made of nume leather and the legs are made of white ash wood with a soap finish. The more you use it, the more you will grow attached to it, and you will never get tired of its design.

残業で終電もなくなり、誰もいないオフィスに独りで泊まらなければならなくなるような職場。そんな時、それといって寝るような場所のないオフィスでは、椅子を並べて寝なければいけません。しかし、座るためだけに作られたオフィス用椅子を並べて寝ても、よく眠れず疲労もとれません。 そして、その疲れは翌日の仕事にひびくこともしばしばです。ここで提案する "Tandem chair"は縦一列につなぐことで、簡易なベッドになるオフィスチェアです。休息をしっかりとることは仕事を効率よく進めるためには非常に重要なことです。プライウッドに優しく包み込まれたカラフルなシートは、口を開けた顔のような愛嬌のあるフォルムで、私たちに愛着を持って使う喜びと楽しみを与えてくれることでしょう。
 
 Imagine working in an office where you miss the last train home due to overtime, leaving you alone to sleep overnight. In such situations, if there's no proper place to sleep, you might have to line up chairs to sleep. However, sleeping on office chairs designed solely for sitting doesn't provide good rest or recovery from fatigue. And that fatigue often affects your work the next day. The "Tandem chair" we propose here is an office chair that transforms into a simple bed when connected in a vertical line. Getting proper rest is crucial for efficient work. The colorful seat, gently encased in plywood, has an endearing form resembling an open-mouthed face, giving us the joy and pleasure of using it with affection.

フックはあくまでも脇役、主役は空間でありインテリアです。こんなシンプルな木製フックが意外とありませんでした。どのような空間にもよく合う、なんでもないシンプルな形のフックです。Hooks are only a supporting role; the star is the space and the interior. This simple wooden hook was a surprise to me. It is a simple hook with a nondescript shape that fits well in any space.
