地球温暖化の影響で、北極の氷は溶け、ホッキョクグマは住む場所を失い始めています。 この木馬ではホッキョクグマが、その溶けて割れてしまった氷をたどたどしい足付きで歩いてゆく姿を現しています。この木馬は、自分の娘のために作ったものです。 売っているものを買って与えるより、せっかくだから、私のデザインしたものをあげたいとの思いからです。 私の父も、いろいろなものを作ってくれたものでした。それが、やはり私の中では印象が大きいのです。 この木馬は発表するや、世界中のデザインや環境系ブログを駆け巡りました。 その中には、カナダの北極の科学者から娘に買いたいとの連絡までありました。 これには驚きましたが、あいにくその時は商品化できていませんでした。 そして、2年くらい経ったある時、商品化したいと言ってくれる香港のブランドが現われたのです。 発表から3年の時を経てようやくHUZI DESIGNより商品化されました。

日本は、安価な輸入材に頼ってきたので、日本中に植えられた杉の森は放置され、林業の衰退と森の荒廃が進んでいます。 日本の杉を使う事で、日本の森は元気になります。 これは、そのような杉材を用いた家具デザインの提案です。 杉の柔らかく、あたたかな質感をソファの背もたれに活かしました。 デザイン的にも暖かみのある木の質感を引き出すため、ぽってりした黒いカタマリとコントラストを活かしたデザインとしました。   杉の活用ということで、杉ばかりで家具を作る事を考えてしましますが、ここでは、杉を象徴的に用いています。 黒く重たいものに対して、軽やかな杉を対比させて見せています。 ふわっと柔らかい造形とすることで、シャープな黒とのコントラストを強調しています。 人の手の触れる部分に杉を積極的に用い、温かみある杉を触ってもらいたいと意図しました。

LEDを内臓したアクリルのトイレサインです。サインのベースは木製でLEDが内臓されています。アクリル部分に切削加工が施されてあり、光を拡散し発光します。Acrylic restroom sign with built-in LEDs. The base of the sign is made of wood and contains LEDs. The acrylic part is machined to diffuse light and emit light.

高速貨物列車専用の機関車として誕生し、国鉄最強の電気機関車と呼ばれたEF66。 量産車は1968年より製造開始され、独特のフロントデザインにより、当時話題になりました。 寝台列車牽引の花形にもなり、電気機関車の黄金期を作りました。   その後、JR貨物が製作した、EF66-100番台やEF200,EF210へ主役の座を譲りました。   今回、EF66のDNAを引き継ぎ、強力な出力を搭載し、インテリジェントな最新型電気機関車の試作機として、誕生したのが、EF66-2000です。   JRの電化区間には、直流と交流があります。その直流用に製造された機関車が直流電気機関車です。 直流機は一部分を除いて基本的に青色ですが、これは実験型のための灰色となっています。 The EF66 was born as a locomotive exclusively for high-speed freight trains and was called Japan National Railways' strongest electric locomotive. Production of the mass-produced car began in 1968, and it became a hot topic at the time due to its unique front design. CUBRICはシンプルなデザインの木製の壁掛けフックです。 ２つの立方体形状の組み合わせで構成されています。 どのような空間にもよく合う、なんでもないシンプルな形です。主張するわけでもなく、なんとなく壁にあり、玄関で向かえてくれる。 フックはあくまでも脇役。 主役は空間でありインテリアです。こんなシンプルな木製フックが意外と売っていませんでした。CUBRIC is a wooden wall hook with a simple design. It consists of a combination of two cube shapes. It is a simple, nondescript shape that fits well in any space. It does not make a statement, it is somehow on the wall, and it will greet you at the entrance. The hook is only a supporting role. The main role is the space and interior. Surprisingly, such a simple wooden hook was not sold.

plutoは立つ磁器製のお皿です。洗った後の水切れも良く、清潔感があります。表面のくぼみにはケチャップを入れたりできますし、裏面では指のひっかかりになっています。PLUTO is a porcelain dish that stands. It drains easily after washing and looks clean. The dimple on the surface can be used to put ketchup, and on the back side, it can be used to catch your fingers.
