日本は、安価な輸入材に頼ってきたので、日本中に植えられた杉の森は放置され、林業の衰退と森の荒廃が進んでいます。 日本の杉を使う事で、日本の森は元気になります。 これは、そのような杉材を用いた家具デザインの提案です。 杉の柔らかく、あたたかな質感をソファの背もたれに活かしました。 デザイン的にも暖かみのある木の質感を引き出すため、ぽってりした黒いカタマリとコントラストを活かしたデザインとしました。   杉の活用ということで、杉ばかりで家具を作る事を考えてしましますが、ここでは、杉を象徴的に用いています。 黒く重たいものに対して、軽やかな杉を対比させて見せています。 ふわっと柔らかい造形とすることで、シャープな黒とのコントラストを強調しています。 人の手の触れる部分に杉を積極的に用い、温かみある杉を触ってもらいたいと意図しました。

FLOCKは群を意味します。信楽焼の陶器で作られた箸置きやブローチなどのブランディングデザインとネーミングです。商品数がとても多く、動物や植物など生物が多くを占めているので群と名付けました。FLOCK means flock. It is a branding design and naming of chopstick rests and brooches made of Shigaraki ware pottery. We named it "Flock" because there are so many products and many of them are creatures such as animals and plants.

CUBRICはシンプルなデザインの木製の壁掛けフックです。 幻の銘木「ユーラシアン チーク材」で製作しました。 濃い色は塗装の色ではございません。木質は重硬でとても高級感があります。 高価な材料ですが、もう一種類のCUBRICとあまり変わらないようにお値段は頑張っています。２つの立方体形状の組み合わせで構成されています。 どのような空間にもよく合う、なんでもないシンプルな形です。CUBRIC is a wooden wall hook with a simple design.It is made of Eurasian teak, a fantastic wood.The dark color is not the color of the paint.The wood is heavy, hard, and very luxurious.It is an expensive material, but we are trying our best to keep the price not much different from the other type of CUBRIC.It is composed of a combination of two cube shapes.It is a simple, nondescript shape that fits well in any space.

今年で８回目を迎える滋賀県高島市の「ええもの」を集めたコンテスト「高島ええものグランプリ」のリニューアルブランディングに関わりました。 受賞者は「センスがええ」ということで、トロフィー代わりに高島扇子が贈呈されました。 最高金賞に選ばれたのは、とも栄さんの「ふなずしxベイクド羊羹」の”ふなチー”です。 滋賀の人って、本当に鮒寿司を美味しくすることに執念を燃やしています！これが鮒寿司なの？っていうくらい美味しいもの沢山あります。これも、チーズ不使用なのに濃厚チーズケーキそのもので、審査員絶賛でした。 他にも金賞の発酵ドルチェ米シュワグルトも鮒寿司を作る際の飯から作られたヨーグルトです。 その他の金賞には、和ろうそくの大與さんは有名ですが、高島発アウトドアブランドの業界最小クラスの焚火台や、琵琶湖の宝石と呼ばれるビワマスひつまぶし、メタセコイアのブラウニーケーキなど、ユニークな商品が揃いました。 審査委員長も近年稀に見るハイレベルとおっしゃっていました。 We were involved in the renewal branding of the contest that featured "ehimono" (good things) from Takashima City, Shiga Prefecture, which is now in its 8th year. 滋賀県の県鳥「カイツブリ」のペーパーウェイトです。彦根市のバルブ産業のメーカーで鉛フリー合金の銅ビワライトを用いて制作しました。使うほどにエイジングして味わい深い表情になります。 This is a paperweight of "Kaituburi", the prefectural bird of Shiga Prefecture. It was produced by a manufacturer of valve industry in Hikone City using copper biwaite, a lead-free alloy. 和紙でできたノート豆腐一帳のロゴデザイン。 エッジがピンとしつつも、中身はやわらかい、そんな豆腐のような手作り感のあるロゴを目指してデザインしました。

滋賀県民なら誰もが知っている千紀園のCM。 千紀園のお茶や抹茶スイーツへのこだわりは並々ならぬものがあり、この度、その千紀園の大福茶のパッケージデザインを担当させていただきました。 大福茶(おおぶくちゃ)はお正月に無病息災と幸せを願い飲むお茶です。 千紀園と言えば鶴のマークなので、デザインにはあえて亀でいこうと早い段階で思いました。 鶴と亀があるとさらにおめでたい感じがするためです。 最初は具象的な亀の絵も描いてみたのですが、抽象的であるほうが良いと思い、デザインを抽象化しました。 大福茶の文字の周囲にある六角形の形が亀をイメージしたものなのです。 蓋をあけると千紀園の鶴が蓋の内側に現れるようにしました。 袋タイプの方も、缶のプロポーションをそのまま投影したデザインとしました。 Everyone in Shiga Prefecture is familiar with Senkien's commercials. Daifuku tea is a tea to be drunk at New Year's to wish for good health and happiness. Senkien is known for its crane logo, so I decided at an early stage to use a tortoise in the design. The reason is that having a crane and a turtle on the tea makes it look even more festive. At first, I tried drawing a figurative turtle, but I thought it would be better to make the design abstract. The hexagonal shape around the word "Daifuku-cha" is the image of a turtle. When you open the lid, we made the Senkien crane appear inside the lid. Oobuku-cha is a tea that is drunk on New Year's Day to wish for good health and happiness. Senkien is known for its crane symbol, so I decided to use a turtle for the design. シンプルなスツールです。座面はヌメ革、足はホワイトアッシュ材のソープ仕上げ。使うほどに愛着が湧いてきそうな飽きのこないデザインです。This is a simple stool. The seat is made of nume leather and the legs are made of white ash wood with a soap finish. The more you use it, the more you will grow attached to it, and you will never get tired of its design.
