7月2日は、元日から182日、大晦日まで同じく182日。 “一年のまんなかの日（=MIDDAY）”である7月2日を「ミッドデイ（まんなかの日）」と名付け、新しい半年の始まりをお祝いするイベントが東京MIDTOWNで開催されます。 その中で、1年の初めのご挨拶である「年賀状」にちなみ、新たな半年の初めに「半賀状」を送ることを提案する企画があります。 HAPPY HALF BOX内で、日本のトップクリエイターとTokyo Midtown Award出身の作家15組がデザインした「半賀状」が展示されます。 ＜作品コンセプト＞ 「僕の前に道はない僕の後ろに道は出来る。」高村光太郎氏の詩です。 道の向こうにある一本の木と広がる空。 一本の木は両手を広げた私の頭であるかもしれない。 一年の半分。 人生もまだ、道半ば。 今日の一日を大切にしたい。 というメッセージを表現しました。

nasowはnatural soft woodの略でゴム素材と木屑、貝殻、様々な廃材を練りこんだ新素材です。リブランディングとプロダクトデザインを担当しました。独特の弾力のある素材の良さを引き出したデザインです。nasow stands for "natural soft wood," a new material made of rubber, wood chips, seashells, and various scrap wood. We rebranded and designed the product. The design brings out the best of the unique elasticity of the material.

FLOCKは群を意味します。信楽焼の陶器で作られた箸置きやブローチなどのブランディングデザインとネーミングです。商品数がとても多く、動物や植物など生物が多くを占めているので群と名付けました。FLOCK means flock. It is a branding design and naming of chopstick rests and brooches made of Shigaraki ware pottery. We named it "Flock" because there are so many products and many of them are creatures such as animals and plants.

金ごまあゆは、琵琶湖産の小鮎の佃煮に、ごまをまぶした商品です。ご飯にのせたりして食べると美味しいのでその姿をパッケージデザインとしました。Golden Sesami Ayu is a tsukudani, a small sweetfish from Lake Biwa, sprinkled with sesame seeds. It is delicious when eaten over rice, so we designed the package to look like that.

チョンマゲ羊羹はチョンマゲの形をした羊羹です。日本では人に何かをおねがいするときに、〜〜してチョンマゲ。という文化があります。このお土産を渡して、〜〜してチョンマゲとお願いしてみましょう。Chonmage Yokan is a type of yokan jelly in the shape of a chonmage. In Japan, when you ask someone to do something for you, you say "〜〜してチョンマゲ. In Japan, there is a culture of saying, "Please give me this souvenir and ask me to do something for you. Give this souvenir to someone and ask them to do something for you.

装丁デザインに際し、本書のタイトルはすでに「サステイナブル建築」と決まっており、クライアント（著者）の希望はグリーンの表紙のイメージというものでした。サステイナブル建築とはいかなるものだろうかというところを出発点とし思索をめぐらせました。私自身のサステイナブル建築のイメージとしては自然発生的に点在する集落のようなものでした。一つ一つの個はそれぞれ個性を持ち、それらは留まることなく動的に変化し更新されつづけるが、全体としての調和は決して崩れないような強さのあるつながり。そのようなイメージでした。そのような関係性はマクロな宇宙の組成から、ミクロの細胞、原子の配列まで通じるものではないでしょうか。圧縮力と張力のインタラクティブなバランスで全てのものは成立している。そのようなメッセージを込めた装丁デザインとしました。 When designing the book's cover, the title had already been decided as "Sustainable Architecture," and the client (author) requested a green cover image. I began by contemplating what sustainable architecture truly is. My own image of sustainable architecture was like a collection of settlements scattered spontaneously. Each individual has its own personality, and they are constantly changing and being renewed, but the overall harmony is strong enough to never break down. That was the image I had. I believe such relationships extend from the composition of the macroscopic universe to the arrangement of cells and atoms at the microscopic level. Everything is based on an interactive balance of compression and tension. I designed the cover to convey this message.

あゆの塩焼きをほぐした瓶詰めです。高級感を大切に、塩焼きであったことを引用し、竹串で封印をしています。紙も四角い金のマスがキラキラ見えるものを選択しています。This is a jar of ayu fish unglazed with salt. To emphasize the importance of luxury, it is sealed with a bamboo skewer, citing that it was grilled with salt. The paper is also selected to show a square gold square with glittering gold squares.

「和た与」のういろ餅のパッケージリニューアルです。こちらのういろは、米粉を使用していることから米の形をあしらっています。包装紙を開くとわかるようなデザインです。一つは抹茶と白、もう一つは黒糖をあらわし、中身を表現したものです。This is a package renewal of Uiro rice cake of "Wata-yo". This Uiro is decorated with the shape of rice because it is made of rice flour. The design can be recognized by opening the wrapping paper. One is a matcha green tea and white, and the other is brown sugar, representing the contents of the rice cake.

琵琶湖のセタシジミを使ったインスタントの味噌汁です。しじみの殻をデザインとして使いました。高級なしじみなので金色にしています。This instant miso soup is made with Lake Biwa's seta shijimi clam. We used the shells of shijimi clam as a design. The color is gold because of the high quality shijimi clam.

琵琶湖のほとり、大津北には多彩なクラフターが集っています。 帽子、鉄溶接、樹脂加工、木彫仏像、湖から集めたガラス 異なる素材と技が出会い、 ここでしか生まれない新しい価値を形にしました。 大津北から発信する、唯一無二のクラフトコレクションです。 大津北商工会と一緒に企業の支援をしています。 BtoBばかりで商品開発をしたことがない企業や、事業で出る廃棄物をどうにかしたい。今までのスタイルに行き詰まりを感じている企業、これからの後継者のために新しく事業を立ち上げたい。 様々なお悩みを商品開発という軸で解決してゆくプロジェクトを2025年4月より行なってきました。 私がいなくなった後も、事業者が自律的に商品を開発して行けることを目指しながら、伴走をしますが、自走を促すためにやっています。 2026年2月のギフトショーで発表しました。 Otsu Kita, on the shores of Lake Biwa, is home to a diverse range of crafters.
