傘立てのデザインです。一見、傘立てには見えませんが、全ての傘の先端が合うように円と円の隙間を調整しています。どこにはまるのか、最初は悩みますが、慣れるとすぐにわかります。自分で使いこなす美しいプロダクトです。This is the design of an umbrella stand. 山中漆器の拭き漆の器 「maro」 を制作しました。 今回は黒のみ、限定6点の製作です。 「maro」は、シンプルでオーソドックスな佇まいを目指してデザインしました。華美な主張はせず、日々の暮らしの中で自然と手が伸びるような器です。 拭き漆ならではの軽さを活かし、気軽に使える普段使いの漆器として仕上げました。軽く、扱いやすく、それでいて漆器らしい質感もしっかりと感じられます。 これまでのシリーズでは、1作目のrunoは高台まで流れるようにつながる流麗なフォルム、2作目のtachiは縦のラインを際立たせた、凛とした佇まいが特徴でした。 3作目となる今回は、よりベーシックな造形を目指し、やわらかく、まろやかな丸みを持つデザインとしました。その印象から、名前をmaroと名付けています。 今回も使いやすい軽さに仕上がっています。また、高台をやや高めに設計することで、器の下へ自然に指が入り、持ち上げやすく、使いやすい形状になっています。 毎日の食卓に、長く寄り添ってくれる一客になれば嬉しいです。 山中塗とは、石川県加賀市の山中温泉地区で作られる漆器で、山中漆器と呼ばれます。国産のミズメ桜を轆轤挽きで仕上げ、拭き漆技法で仕上げました。
