PATINA STOOL

香川県の庵治石を使った屋外照明器具のデザインです。光が当たる下の部分は荒い仕上げにしています。天板に座ることも可能ですがそこは柔らかく膨らんでおり鏡面仕上げになっております。光が美しいグラデーションで浮かび上がります。This is a design for an outdoor lighting fixture using Aji stone from Kagawa Prefecture. The lower part where the light hits the stone has a rough finish. It is possible to sit on the top panel, which is softly bulged and has a mirror finish. The light emerges in a beautiful gradation.

白い壁面にも際立つ美しいデザインのトイレサインです。JIS規格のトイレサインの形状は堅すぎるけど、売っているものはカジュアルすぎるものが多いので、ちょうど良いバランスで飽きのこないシンプルデザインを考えました。トイレマークも一度貼ったら10年、20年は変えないと思いますので、普遍性を大事にデザインしました。厚みは7mmでしっかりと木の厚みが感じられます。This is a beautifully designed toilet sign that stands out against the white wall. the JIS standard toilet sign shape is too rigid, but many of the ones sold are too casual, so we came up with a simple design that strikes just the right balance and will never become boring. Once the toilet sign is affixed, it is not likely to be changed for 10 or 20 years, so we designed it with universality in mind. The thickness is 7mm, and you can feel the thickness of the wood.

滋賀県の県鳥「カイツブリ」のペーパーウェイトです。彦根市のバルブ産業のメーカーで鉛フリー合金の銅ビワライトを用いて制作しました。使うほどにエイジングして味わい深い表情になります。 This is a paperweight of "Kaituburi", the prefectural bird of Shiga Prefecture. 引出しにはそれぞれ、過去の引き出し、現在の引き出し、未来の引き出しと名前が付けられています。 それぞれ過去、現在、未来をイメージした特徴の異なった三枚の陶板で前板が作られています。 陶板は信楽焼で手作りによって作られています。 引き出しを開けるとそこには、past, present, futureの文字が刻まれています。 陶板の引き出しは、何か特別な印象を引き出しにもたらします。 この引き出しをどのように使うかは使用者に委ねられていますが、人にはみなそれぞれの、現在、過去、未来があります。 何か大切なものや情報を入れたりする特別な箱になることを願っています。

ONDAはイタリア語で波を意味します。これはチェストですが表面が波のようにカーブしています。ウォルナットとヨーロッパビーチに２種類の木のコントラストがあるデザインです。ONDA means wave in Italian. This is a chest, but its surface is curved like a wave. The design has a contrast between two types of wood in walnut and European beach.

山中漆器の拭き漆の器です。黒と赤があります。 シンプルでオーソドックスなデザインを心がけてデザインしました。とても軽く、使いやすく、あまり緊張しすぎない、しかしそこまでカジュアルでもない。ふつうな上質さを目指したデザインです。非常に軽く出来ています。山中塗とは、石川県加賀市の山中温泉地区で作られる漆器で、山中漆器と呼ばれます。国産のミズメ桜を轆轤挽きで仕上げ、拭き漆技法で仕上げました。Yamanaka Lacquerware wipe lacquer vessels.
