OOBUKU-CHA

滋賀県民なら誰もが知っている千紀園のCM。千紀園のお茶や抹茶スイーツへのこだわりは並々ならぬものがあり、この度、その千紀園の大福茶のパッケージデザインを担当させていただきました。大福茶(おおぶくちゃ)はお正月に無病息災と幸せを願い飲むお茶です。千紀園と言えば鶴のマークなので、デザインにはあえて亀でいこうと早い段階で思いました。鶴と亀があるとさらにおめでたい感じがするためです。最初は具象的な亀の絵も描いてみたのですが、抽象的であるほうが良いと思い、デザインを抽象化しました。大福茶の文字の周囲にある六角形の形が亀をイメージしたものなのです。蓋をあけると千紀園の鶴が蓋の内側に現れるようにしました。袋タイプの方も、缶のプロポーションをそのまま投影したデザインとしました。 Everyone in Shiga Prefecture is familiar with Senkien's commercials. Senkien's commitment to tea and matcha sweets is extraordinary, We are pleased to announce that we are now in charge of the packaging design for Senkien's Daifuku tea. Daifuku tea is a tea to be drunk at New Year's to wish for good health and happiness. Senkien is known for its crane logo, so I decided at an early stage to use a tortoise in the design. The reason is that having a crane and a turtle on the tea makes it look even more festive. At first, I tried drawing a figurative turtle, but I thought it would be better to make the design abstract. The hexagonal shape around the word "Daifuku-cha" is the image of a turtle. When you open the lid, we made the Senkien crane appear inside the lid. The design of the pouch type is also a direct projection of the proportions of the can. https://shop.senkien.jp/fs/senkien/c/goodfortunetea I designed the package for Senkien's Oobuku tea. Oobuku-cha is a tea that is drunk on New Year's Day to wish for good health and happiness. Senkien is known for its crane symbol, so I decided to use a turtle for the design. I decided to use a tortoise for the design because I felt that having a crane and a tortoise would make the tea more festive. It is available at the main store, Kintetsu Kusatsu, and on line stores.

滋賀県のナラ枯材を使った椅子を作る滋賀チェアプロジェクトのブランディングと椅子のデザインを担当しました。製造技術が非常に高い飛騨産業とのコラボレーションによって生まれたアームチェアです。滋賀を代表する椅子になってほしいと思いを込めてSHIGA CHAIRと名付けました。I was in charge of branding and chair design for the Shiga Chair Project, a project to create chairs using oak withers from Shiga Prefecture. This armchair was created in collaboration with Hida Sangyo, a company with very high manufacturing technology. We named it SHIGA CHAIR with the hope that it will become a chair representing Shiga.

赤坂サカスで開催されたCool Kyoto2011に間接照明用のLED「ウィルライン」を展示するためのブースのデザインを担当しました。京都らしいアイデンティティと、ブースに強化ダンボールを用いることを求められました。強化ダンボールの特性を活かし、美しい光の陰影を表現し、全体を統合させるデザインを考えました。あかりの縦格子間接照明によって強化ダンボールの縦格子を照らし出します。狭く小さなスペースでありますが、遠くからでも目を引く空間的な展示什器としています。 LEDの商品をそのままただ見せるのではなく、どのようにLEDの効果があるのかを見せるものとし、落ち着きのある美しい陰影をダンボールで描き出す事に成功しました。 LEDはあくまでも脇役であり、引き立たせるべきもの、照らし出すべきものを配置しました。

THE WORLD SOCIETY FOR EKISTICS

世界駅スティクス学会2005の公式ポスターをデザインしました。ekisticsは人間居住工学の意味です。その文字を居住空間に見立ててデザインしました。We designed the official poster for the World Ekistics Congress 2005. Ekistics means "human habitation engineering. We designed the letters as if they were living spaces.

nasowはnatural soft woodの略でゴム素材と木屑、貝殻、様々な廃材を練りこんだ新素材です。リブランディングとプロダクトデザインを担当しました。独特の弾力のある素材の良さを引き出したデザインです。nasow stands for "natural soft wood," a new material made of rubber, wood chips, seashells, and various scrap wood. We rebranded and designed the product. The design brings out the best of the unique elasticity of the material.

近江牛専門店万葉のパッケージデザインを担当しました。近江牛は日本三大和牛の一つ。日本でも最高の品質の牛肉です。万葉というお店の名前から万葉集を思いました。万葉集は、7世紀後半から8世紀後半にかけて編纂された、現存するわが国最古の歌集です。精肉会社が経営する専門店であり、お肉作りの思いをお客さんに伝えてゆくのに「本」の形が思い浮かび万葉集とつながりました。和綴と呼ばれる日本の伝統的なの本の綴じ方を模したパッケージに包まれたお肉。本を開ける高揚感と高級感のあるパッケージになっています。紙にはエンボスの加工で布製本のような表現としました。ゴムとメタルシールでパッケージを封印しています。最高級のお肉にふさわしいデザインとしました。 We were in charge of package design for the Omi beef specialty restaurant Manyo. Omi beef is one of Japan's three major beef varieties. It is the highest quality beef in Japan. The name of the restaurant, Manyo, made me think of the Manyoshu (The Anthology of Myriad Leaves). The Manyoshu is the oldest existing collection of poetry in Japan, compiled from the late 7th to the late 8th century. As a specialty store run by a meat company, the shape of a "book" came to mind for conveying the concept of meat production to customers, which led me to Manyoshu. The meat is wrapped in a package that resembles the traditional Japanese book binding method called Watoji.The package has an exuberant and luxurious feel of opening a book. The paper is embossed to give it the appearance of a cloth-bound book. The package is sealed with rubber and metal seals. The design was appropriate for top quality meat. The package is designed to be opened with a sense of exhilaration and luxury.

香川県の庵治石を使った屋外照明器具のデザインです。光が当たる下の部分は荒い仕上げにしています。天板に座ることも可能ですがそこは柔らかく膨らんでおり鏡面仕上げになっております。光が美しいグラデーションで浮かび上がります。This is a design for an outdoor lighting fixture using Aji stone from Kagawa Prefecture. The lower part where the light hits the stone has a rough finish. It is possible to sit on the top panel, which is softly bulged and has a mirror finish. The light emerges in a beautiful gradation.

KOKA Cardboard Box

滋賀県甲賀市の段ボールのデザインです。甲賀市の市章の２色を使用し、忍者テーマで手裏剣のモノグラムを配置し、市章デザインもあしらっています。ふるさと納税返礼品を送るのに使用されたりしています。This is a cardboard design for Koka City, Shiga Prefecture. It uses the two colors of the Koka city emblem, and has a ninja theme with a shuriken monogram and the city emblem design. It is sometimes used to send tax returns from hometowns.

UDCBK（アーバンデザインセンターびわこ・くさつ）は、草津の未来のまちのデザインを考えるために、大学（教職員や学生）、企業（経営者や通勤者）、行政（国や県や市の職員）の人々が、草津に住む市民の方々と気軽に自由に話し合い、交流する場所として南草津駅前に生まれました。様々な人がここを拠点に交わり、その中から様々な事が発展的に広がっていく。この場所は言うなれば「未来創造交差点」であると考えました。様々な道が交差し、つながり、そして広がってゆく様子をロゴマークとしてデザインしました。 UDCBKの文字がそれぞれ道のようになっており、ジャンクションになっています。グラデーションの色は、様々な考えや、アクション、動きを表現しています。
