This is a new sport developed by Shiga Prefecture.
It is a game-like competition in which players compete by throwing rods to knock down targets.
Named Lakewood, meaning that the forest is connected to Lake Biwa, this sport can be played in nature by touching the wooden rods.
It is a universal sports competition with simple rules that are easy to learn and can be played by children and adults alike.
The wooden rod is called a Rod, the blue target is called a Shieldlwood, and the antlered one is called a Kingwood.
There are two types of games (as of March 2021), and we plan to add more in the future.
The rods are made of Japanese cypress from Shiga Prefecture, and the seals are finished with Osmo oil, a natural vegetable oil base.
